Further £10,000 presented to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance

Committee Chairman Rick Hall with Lincolnshire &
Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Fundraiser Barry Daff

Members of the organising committee of the hugely successful BRM Day, held last October, gathered on Wednesday evening to present a cheque for £10,000 to Barry Daff, local volunteer fund raiser, on behalf of the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. Chairman of the BRM Day Committee, Rick Hall, said, “With this further presentation we have so far been able to donate a total of £50,000 to the two charities benefitting from the event, the Air Ambulance and Bourne Outdoor Pool. The commemorative DVD of the day, which is available through the BRM Day website continues to bring in further funds which in due course will provide further donations to both charities. It is somehow appropriate that we make this donation today for only in the last fortnight the Air Ambulance landed in Bourne twice to bring vital assistance to sick and injured persons. I could also say, that with the current hot spell, the Outdoor Pool has also brought relief to many people!”

Barry, in accepting the cheque on behalf of the Air Ambulance said, “The Air Ambulance is totally funded by voluntary donations and we are really overwhelmed by the donation of £25,000 from BRM Day. It is to the credit of, not only the organising committee, but also the whole town of Bourne, who so wholeheartedly embraced the event and helped make this magnificent donation possible. For a town of its size, the people of Bourne must be amongst the most generous in Lincolnshire in their support of our cause”.
